Product description The ART TransX is a 1 RU rack-mountable, two-channel microphone preamp designed to deliver up to 68 dB of clean signal amplification for musicians, vocalists, and audio engineers in live stage applications and home, project, and commercial recording studios. Input and output transformers minimize noise and optimize consistency in levels for balanced and unbalanced connections. Each channel features a stepped gain control, output trim, and -20 dB pad for proper management of signal levels. The variable impedance and 12-position, low-cut filters allow tonal fine-tuning. Connect your microphones to the balanced XLR inputs on the rear panel and plug instruments directly into the front-panel Hi-Z 1/4" inputs. Balanced XLR and 1/4" outputs enable proper connectivity with audio interfaces and mixing consoles. Counter hum from improper grounding via the ground-lift switches. 11-segment LEDs provide easy metering of output levels for each channel. The TransX's included 48 VDC external power supply utilizes a locking connector to prevent accidental disconnects. - Low-noise, low-THD discrete audio path
- Input transformer blocks RFI and other noise
- Custom output transformer reduces ground noise and maintains level for balanced and unbalanced connections
- Hi-Z, direct-coupled, low-noise instrument input
- Variable 150 Ohms to 1 kOhm impedance for XLR mic input
- Rotary switches allow for reliable, repeatable results
- Gain and trim controls allow coarse and fine level adjustments
- Selectable -20 dB pad inhibits distortion when accepting strong mic input signals
- 11-segment, peak-sensitive output level LEDs
- Per-channel switches for phantom power, polarity inversion, and ground lift
- Automatic muting on outputs
- Includes 48 VDC external power supply with locking connector
- Rugged rack-mountable steel chassis occupies 1 RU of rack space
