Product description - Choosing Your First Hardware Synthesizer for Under $1000
The MicroBrute is a monophonic synthesizer keyboard from Arturia that features a 25-note mini keyboard and an all analog signal path. It also features a compact design and a multi-wave analog oscillator with mixable waveforms.
The MicroBrute's single analog oscillator, is capable of generating sawtooth, square and triangle wave shapes simultaneously and allows you to blend them together to create complex waveforms. It also allows you to add a -1 octave sub square wave into your sound, plus it features an "overtone" control for adding harmonics.
The synth also features a low-frequency oscillator (LFO) with switchable square, saw and sine waveforms and an adjustable rate. Its destination is set to modulate the pitch of the oscillator by default and it has a depth control for adjusting the amount of modulation.
The MicroBrute also has a built-in 64-step sequencer that allows you to input notes one at a time to create rhythmic patterns. It has an internal memory capable of storing up to different 8 patterns and the sequences can be backed up to your computer using the included editor software. - Oscillator features signal enhancing controls including Ultrasaw for generating thick sawtooth waveforms, Metalizer bringing harmonics and pulse width modulation
- Steiner-Parker designed filter section with low pass, band pass and high pass modes, as well as "Brute Factor" control for adding saturation and enhancing low end
- Attack, decay, sustain and release (ADSR) for shaping the envelope of the sound
- Mod matrix allows you to reroute default destinations of the LFO and ADSR controls using the two included mini-jack patch cords
- CV/GATE connections for using the MiniBrute with modular synth components
- USB MIDI I/O and standard MIDI input for interfacing with your computer and other MIDI gear
- Audio input for using the MicroBrute as an audio processor
- Standard pitch and mod wheels
