Product description Boasting the ability to play bit-to-bit DSD playback, the Titan Silver Astell&Kern A&futura Series SE100 is a portable audio player for audiophiles and hi-fi enthusiasts. Utilizing an ESS SABRE ES9038PRO DAC, the player provides low harmonic distortion, high dynamic range, and bit-to-bit playback over an 8-channel DAC.
Listen to multiple formats, including WAV, OGG, APE, and yes, DSD (DSDnative, DSD128, and DSD256). Look at the 5" touchscreen while doing so—it provides a resolution of 720 x 1280, the better to promote its intuitive user experience.
Speedy transfer and lag-free operation is made possible by the octa-core CPU, which also allows for fast booting times and a detailed sonic reproduction of your music files. Hear music through the 3.5mm unbalanced phone jack, or the balanced 4-pole 2.5mm jack, which provides an even more pristine experience. If battery performance is important to you, you'll be pleased by the SE100's ability to play for 11 hours at a time off a two hour fast-charge—though the fast-charger is available separately, and thankfully, the unit boasts a USB 3.0 port. - The SABRE PRO series offers high dynamic range (DNR) with impressively low levels of total harmonic distortion plus noise (THD+N) in a 32-bit, 8-channel DAC. All SABRE PRO DACs feature ESS's patented 32-bit HyperStream DAC technology, which delivers professional-level sound quality and performance.
- Quality Amps for Low-Noise Performance
- The SE100 sports 4.1 Vrms of balanced output power with 123 dB of SNR (signal to noise ratio). At the same time, the noise level on single-ended cable is even lower, producing 122 dB of SNR.
- High-Precision Clock
- A voltage-controlled crystal oscillator (VCXO) high-precision clock has been utilized to bring a performance of 800 femtoseconds.
- Octa-Core CPU
- The A&futura SE100 is equipped with an octa-core CPU. This allows the player to produce the exact musical detail present in the original recording without distortion and provides quick, lag-free operation. The machine sports faster booting times, speedy file transfers, lag-free processing, and an intuitive user interface.
- Bit-to-Bit DSD Playback
- The A&futura SE100 supports native bit-to-bit DSD playback up to 11.2 MHz. The music is played back bit-for-bit, just as the artist and engineer intended for it to be heard.
