  • Aston Origin - A brief story
  The Aston Origin is a cardioid condenser microphone that utilizes a 1” gold-evaporated capsule. It is versatile enough to use with most instruments, such as acoustic guitar and strings, and sounds great on vocals. Its hand-selected capsule is combined with transformer-less circuitry to deliver accurate sound reproduction.
  
  The mic has a mesh-knit pop filter built into the wave-form head. The weave allows sound to pass while reducing unwanted plosives. This single-piece mesh cage is formed in stainless steel, so it won't rust with use and can even be removed and washed.

  This InVision Universal Microphone Shock Mount from Rycote provides a discreet, low-profile way to mount practically any microphone with a diameter of 18-55mm. The mount uses Rycote's patented "Lyre" suspension system, which does not use any runner or elastic components to isolate the mic. Instead, the unique shape gives the mount specific compliance to the mic to prevent handling noise from reaching the capsule.
  
  The high-grade materials used in constructing the mount give it an exceptionally wide working temperature of -31°F to over 212°F (-35°C to 100°C), far exceeding the range of typical elastic or rubber shock mounts. The mount retains all of the flexibility, balance, and performance that you would expect from a Rycote suspension system. Note: This mount is designed for studio and installed use, and does not have the ability to be used in conjunction with a windshield.

  The purple Halo Reflection Filter from Aston Microphones is made with patented PET-felt acoustic technology and molding techniques to reflect, absorb and diffuse sound in both professional- and home-studio environments. Its large surface area provides linear absorption, while the corrugated surface diffuses sound for minimal coloration.
  
  The Halo's spherical shape yields horizontal as well as vertical filtering, while its 4-inch radius improves sound isolation, making it a practical solution for recording vocal tracks or multiple acoustic instruments in one room.
  
  You can experiment with placing the Halo in different room locations depending on the desired reflection and absorption characteristics. It is portable and lightweight and comes with proprietary mounting hardware.

  The RFMS-580 Reflection Filter Tripod Mic Stand from Auray features heavy duty steel construction and is capable of providing sturdy support to your reflection filter and studio microphone at the same time. The tripod stand design features collapsible legs for convenient storage and a telescoping center column that can be adjusted to reach a maximum working height of 76", including a standard reflection filter.
  
  The stand also features non-slip feet for added traction on hard surfaces as well as a 5/8" threaded adapter for attaching a shockmount or mic clip.

  Studio Elite 4000 Series cables are made from 24 AWG OFC copper wire that's wrapped with PE insulation and a conductive PVC inner shield. A cotton-yarn inner layer helps reduce electrostatic and microphonic noise. A 98% braided outer shield makes the cable resistant to EMI and RFI noise. The Neutrix XX silver connectors provide a high level of connectivity, and all the solder connections are shrink-wrapped for protection.
