Product description Electrophysics develops advanced near infrared, night vision and thermal imaging systems for industrial, law enforcement and military applications. Their expertise in complex signal processing, optics, embedded software, and computer software applications puts them at the leading edge of tackling real-world challenges and creating practical solutions. The 9350SCOPE-3PRO combines cross-platform versatility with mission-flexibility, to supersede the abilities of common night vision monoculars. Its modular design and concept can be applied to a myriad of nighttime operations and applications. This scope can be used hand-held or tripod mounted as a night vision monocular for covert night-time observation. When the mission mandates that the scene be recorded, the Pocketscope can be deployed to operate as an image intensification module for a SLR type camera, or a camcorder based surveillance system. The high resolution imaging system of the Pocketscope is built around a highly acclaimed 3rd generation intensifier tube rated with 64 lp/mm of resolution. The rugged housing is built to endure the rigors of actual field use and features a substantial collar for tripod mounting. The 9350SCOPE is designed to be used with C-mount lenses, which are sold separately. An FLA (font lens adapter) can be employed to facilitate the attachment of a high-quality SLR type lens for superior imaging performance. There are many different variables that affect the distance that one can see with a night vision device, among them the object's size, the level of details being sought from the object and the conditions of observation. Night vision devices detect much further under a full moon and clear skies than they will under a new moon and cloudy skies. Many different formulas are used to determine the statistic of maximum viewing range and the method of calculation varies by manufacturer. The important factors to consider when evaluating any night vision device are the intensifier tube's generation, s/n ratio, level of magnification, specified resolution, along with the clarity & light transmission efficiency of the optical system. All night vision devices sold by have mechanisms in place to protect the intensifier tube from a sudden burst of bright light, but this does not mean that bright light doesn't damage the device. No matter what, bright light in any form is not good for the longevity and performance of image intensifier tubes.
