Product description The BC-12B1ST Internal SATA 12X Blu-ray Disc Reader from ASUS is capable of writing to a variety of discs including DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD+RW, DVD-RW, DVD+R (DL), DVD-R (DL), DVD-RAM, CD-R, and CD-RW. Additionally, you can read data from a wide variety of discs including BD-R, BD-RE, BD-ROM, BD-R (DL), BD-RE (DL), BD-ROM (DL), DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD-ROM, DVD+R (DL), DVD-R (DL), DVD-ROM (DL), DVD-RAM, CD-R, CD-ROM, BDMV Playback, DVD Video Playback, VCD Playback, and Audio CD Playback.
With a SATA interface you can easily install this optical drive into systems running Windows 7, Windows Vista, or Windows 8. Once installed you can utilize a variety of disc formats such as Audio CD, Video CD, CD-I, CD-Extra, Photo CD, CD-Text, CD-ROM/XA, Multi-session CD, BD video, and DVD video to simplify the process of transferring and reading data from optical media. - With enhanced 12X Blu-ray writing it takes only 11 minutes to back up 25GB of data
