User manual for the ASUS Chromebit contain basic instructions that need to be followed during installation and operation. Product description

Measuring less than 5" in length and 2" wide, the Chromebit from ASUS is a mobile computer that connects to the HDMI port of virtually any display. It will fit into your hand, pocket, purse, or carry-on bag and is a lightweight, portable, and convenient personal computer that also works well as a travel essential.

This Chromebit is powered by a 1.8 GHz RockChip 3288-C Quad-Core processor. It also has 2GB of LPDDR3L RAM and 16GB of eMMC storage. This amount of storage will give you plenty of room to store important files, documents, downloads, HD movies, games, apps, and more. Also featured are integrated 802.11ac dual-band Wi-Fi, integrated Bluetooth 4.0, a USB 2.0 port, and an HDMI port. Its graphics are powered by an ARM Mali-T624 Quad-Core GPU that is able to play back Full HD 1080p video.

Included with the ASUS Chromebit are a 12 VDC / 1.5A / 18W power adapter and an 11.8" / 30.0cm HDMI extension cable. The installed operating system is Google Chrome OS. Google Chrome OS is a Linux-based operating system designed by Google to work exclusively with web applications.

Please note that in order to take full advantage of Chrome OS, you will need to be connected to the Internet.

  • Using Linux as a base, Google designed Chrome OS to work exclusively with web applications. The user interface takes a minimalist approach, which greatly resembles the Google Chrome web browser. Chrome OS was built for people who spend a majority, if not all, of their time on the computer connected to the Internet. The only application that comes installed on Chrome OS is a special Google Chrome web browser with an integrated media player and file manager. All other applications are accessed by adding apps from the Google Chrome Web Store. Since Chrome OS relies entirely on Google's web apps and access to Google's services, it is highly recommended that you connect to the Internet to optimize your Chrome OS experience
