Product description The DRW-24B1ST Internal SATA 16X DVD Disc Rewriter from ASUS features enhanced data read speeds from various types of discs including DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD+RW, DVD-RW, DVD-ROM, DVD+R (DL), DVD-R (DL), DVD-ROM (DL), DVD-RAM, CD-R, CD-RW, CD-ROM, DVD Video Playback, VCD Playback, and Audio CD Playback formatted discs. Additionally you can write data to DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD+RW, DVD-RW, DVD+R (DL), DVD-R (DL), DVD-RAM, CD-R, and CD-RW formatted discs. With a SATA interface you can easily install this optical drive into systems running Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8. - E-Green
- The drive features an E-Green Mode that automatically closes drive applications when not in use to help conserve energy.
- OTS (Optimal Tuning Strategy)
- With OTS, the drive will perform a test before burning to determine the optimal burning strategy automatically for the best burning quality.
- E-Hammer
- E-Hammer allows you to permanently delete the data on the writable disc (CD-R and DVD-R) formats. Once the data is deleted, it cannot be recovered or restored and the optical drive will not be able to read the disc to ensure data security.
- AVRS (Auto Vibration Reducing System)
