Product description The PRIME X370-A AM4 ATX Motherboard from ASUS is designed for AMD Ryzen, 7th Generation A-Series, and Athlon processors by coming with an AMD AM4 socket as well as an AMD X370 chipset. This ATX motherboard has four DIMM slots that can each support a DDR4 memory module up to 16GB in capacity, allowing the system to hold a total of 64GB. For storage drives, the motherboard is equipped with six SATA III connections as well as an M.2 slot for accommodating SATA or PCIe-based SSDs. Installing an AMD Ryzen processor allows the motherboard to support RAM speeds of up to 2666 MHz and offer four PCIe 3.0 lanes for the M.2 slot, while an A-Series or Athlon processor makes it compatible with 2400 and 2133 MHz memory speeds and provides two PCIe 3.0 lanes for M.2 SSDs.
With a 7th-generation A-series APU installed, the motherboard can deliver up to 4K visuals through its HDMI, DVI-D, and VGA ports. Other notable ports include a PS/2 combo port and Gigabit Ethernet port along with two USB 2.0, two USB 3.1, and four USB 3.0 ports. There's also a set of three audio jacks, powered by a Realtek ALC887-VD2 audio processor, for your speakers and headsets. To expand the system's capabilities, the motherboard supports AMD CrossFireX technology and offers one PCIe 3.0 x16 slot and one PCIe 2.0 x16 slot, so you can build a dual graphics card system. Additionally, two PCIe 2.0 x 1 and two PCI slots are available for NICs, port expansion cards, and other types of PCI cards. - AMD X370 Chipset
- The AMD X370 chipset delivers overclocking capabilities for AMD AM4-socket Ryzen processors, 7th Generation A-series APUs, and Athlon CPUs. It provides two 10 Gbps USB 3.1 ports and six 6 Gbps SATA ports.

- This motherboard supports AMD Ryzen processors, 7th Generation A-series accelerated processing units (APUs), and Athlon CPUs. The Ryzen processor supports up to eight cores and is based on Zen core architecture. The 7th-Generation A-series APUs feature integrated AMD Radeon R-series graphics. AMD AM4-socket processors feature dual-channel DDR4 memory, native 5 Gbps USB 3.0, and 16 PCI Express 3.0/2.0 lanes.

- SafeSlot provides retention and shearing resistance for your heavy graphics cards. It is manufactured in a single step by using an insert-molding process, which integrates the slot with a fortifying metal support for a stronger design. SafeSlot is then firmly anchored to the motherboard through additional solder points.

- PRIME X370 series motherboards are engineered with a SafeSlot core, surge protection, overvoltage protection, stable power, and stainless-steel I/O cover.

- SafeSlot Core is built into the PCIe slot and offers a fortified design that's anchored to the motherboard by a special hook. SafeSlot Core provides 1.6x stronger retention and 1.3x greater shearing resistance than standard expansion slots.

- ASUS LANGuard is a hardware-level networking protection that employs signal-coupling technology and anti-EMI, surface-mounted capacitors to ensure a reliable connection and provide more throughputs.
