Product description Designed with the gamer in mind, the ROG Rapture GT-AC5300 Wireless Tri-Band Gigabit Router from ASUS features a variety of optimizations to enhance network connectivity, increase stability, and boost overall network performance. Take advantage of optimized gaming ports which prioritize gaming traffic while the Gamers Private Network allows gamers to connect to private game servers to further enhance network performance. If that's not enough, the ROG Rapture GT-AC5300 features enhanced network security complete with its own IPS (Intrusion Prevention System) backed by Trend Micro technology.
The ROG Rapture GT-AC5300 comes with a plethora of connectivity options including support for the 802.11ac Wi-Fi network standard. In addition to 802.11ac support, users can connect to the 2.4 GHz frequency or either of the two 5 GHz frequencies for optimal performance. Once connected, the GT-AC5300 offers enhanced wireless transfer rates of up to 5300 Mbps for lag-free gaming. If a wired network connection is required, this gaming router comes equipped with eight Gigabit Ethernet ports complete with Link Aggregation functionality. Alongside the Ethernet ports are two USB 3.0 ports for connecting peripherals such as hard drives directly to the network. - ROG Gaming Center

The ROG Rapture GT-AC5300 includes built-in support for the Gamers Private Network, powered by WTFast, which provides private, optimized internet connections to game servers, minimizing ping and latency to ensure smooth, lag-free gaming. - Fortified Front Line Network Security
- To defend your network, the ROG Rapture GT-AC5300 features Game IPS (Intrusion Prevention System), an intrusion prevention system powered by Trend Micro technology. It protects your gaming network from external attacks and threats, neutralizing them before they can reach your network or devices. Even if your PC's security software isn't turned on - to get around blocked games, for example - Game IPS still protects your network from attacks and intrusions, giving you added peace of mind.
