Product description The X99-E-10G WS LGA 2011-v3 CEB Motherboard from ASUS is designed to fit in cases that support the CEB form factor. It supports Intel Core i7 and Core i7-X processors in the LGA 2011-v3 package, as well as Xeon E5-1600 v3, E5-2600 v3, E5-1600 v4, and E5-2600 product families that support the Intel X99 chipset. This motherboard supports Windows 10, 8.1 (64-bit), and 7 (64-bit), has been designed for workstation, gaming, professional, and home server use, and is equipped with dual 10 Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports.
The CEB form factor of the X99-E-10G has 8 x DIMM slots that can support up to 128GB of non-ECC and unbuffered DDR4 RAM at speeds of 3333 (OC), 3200 (OC), 3000 (OC), 2800 (OC), 2666 (OC), 2400 (OC), and 2133 MHz. Additionally, up to 128GB of unbuffered ECC DDR4 RAM and registered ECC DDR4 RAM are supported at speeds of 2400 and 2133 MHz. This motherboard also supports quad-channel memory architecture and Intel Extreme Memory Profile (XMP).
The X99-E-10G has a total of 10 x SATA III 6 Gb/s ports, 1 x M.2 x4 Socket 3 port, and 1 x U.2 port. Internal expansion is accomplished using 7 x PCIe 3.0/2.0 x16 slots running single x16, dual x16/x16, triple x16/x16/x16, quad x16/x16/x16/x16, or seven x16/x8/x8/x8/x8/x8/x8. USB connectivity is achieved using 1 x USB 3.1 Type-C port (back panel), 1 x USB 3.1 Type-A port (back panel), 8 x USB 3.0/2.0 ports (4 on the back panel, 4 at mid-board), and 4 x USB 2.0/1.1 ports (4 at mid-board). There is also one COM port. Using the Realtek ALC1150 codec, it can support 8-channel HD audio using its eight audio jacks or one optical S/PDIF jack.
The X99-E-10G does not contain integrated graphics, meaning that the user will need to purchase a dedicated GPU of their choice. Also supported is NVIDIA and AMD CrossFireX 2/3-Way configurations. Included with this motherboard is an I/O Shield, 1 x COM port cable, 10 x SATA III 6 Gb/s cables, 1 x Supporting DVD, 1 x 3-Way SLI bridge, 1 x 4-Way SLI bridge, 1 x SLI bridge, 1 x Q-connector (2-in-1), 1 x 2-port USB 2.0 module, and 1 x RGB Strip Extension cable. - The X99-E-10G WS can carry up to four dual-slot graphics cards. It supports 4-Way NVIDIA GeForce SLI and AMD CrossFireX x16 Link, making it an excellent choice for graphics professionals who depend on powerful graphics in areas such as design and modeling and medical research, plus processing-intensive simulations and rendering applications. In addition to graphics cards, extensive X99-E-10G WS expandability offers ample room for RAID cards, PCI Express-based solid state storage drives, video capture cards, and other components.
