• Introducing ZenFone 5 | 5Z - ASUS

Android 8.0 Oreo
• The Android operating system integrates heavily with Google's services. Using the card-based Google Now, Android quickly surfaces information for you whenever you need it, powered by the same Knowledge Engine that runs Google's web search. It's a personalized and customizable OS, allowing you to add your favorite apps or widgets to your home screen. You can even download new themes using the Google Play Store, which offers access to millions of apps, games, books, music, movies, and more. Android 8.0 Oreo adds major productivity and security capabilities to the operating system. They've introduced Google Play Protect, which scans apps on your phone to detect harmful behavior. With the touch of the Home button, continue to work in apps while watching active videos in Picture-in-Picture mode. Other features include, faster boot speed, automatically turning on Wi-Fi when near saved networks, limiting background activity for little used apps, notification snoozing, smart text selection, and more.

GSM / 4G LTE Wireless Connectivity
• This phone is designed to work on select GSM networks and is 4G LTE capable. LTE is an advanced cellular network data protocol capable of data speeds so fast that they compete with wired broadband Internet providers. With an LTE connection, this phone should have no problem streaming HD video, downloading apps, uploading photos, or anything else that requires a high-speed data connection. The phone is also backwards compatible with 3G and 2G data for instances when you can't get LTE. In addition to cellular wireless, this phone also features Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. Note: Not compatible with all cellular networks. Please make sure your provider uses a frequency or band that this phone supports. North American Variant / US Compatible LTE
• The ZS620KL is a US variant of the ZenFone 5Z. The ZS620KL's LTE radio is tuned to frequencies that are most often used in the United States and North America. It can also be used in other parts of the world; however, LTE access may be limited or unsupported, depending on the network. To ensure this phone will work with your carrier please check to make sure the frequencies your carrier uses are supported by this phone. Dual Standby SIM (DSS)
• Dual Standby SIM (DSS) allows you to lower your mobile costs when traveling while staying connected. With dual SIM card slots users have the freedom and convenience to access two different phone numbers. Additionally, the dual SIM card slots allow you to have two carrier options, such as having an international number and a national number. With Dual Standby SIM (DSS) users have to manually switch which SIM is active, when one SIM card is selected the other will not be able to make or receive phone calls or texts.

AI Scene Detection
• Snap a photo and the 5Z will analyze your subject and match it to one of 16 scene types, figuring out what exactly it is. Is it the sky, a slice of pizza, or your dog? This technology is designed to figure it out and then optimize the camera settings to match, helping give you more perfect photos automatically. The 16 scene types include: People, Food, Dog, Cat, Sunset, Sky, Green Field, Ocean, Flower, Plant, Snow, Night View, Stage, Text, QR Code, and Tripod.

AI Photo Learning
• When you tweak the settings of your images, the ZenFone 5Z will learn the types of settings you like on particular picture types. As it learns, it will start to recognize repeated image types and automatically make those changes for you.

Real-Time Beautification
• When the phone detects that you're shooting a face, it will analyze over 2 million previous enhancements from 365 facial points, automatically making enhancements to produce a more natural and professional result.

AI Gallery
• The 5Z intelligently organizes your photos based on type (Foot, Flower, Dog, etc..) or even by people's names through facial recognition. This is designed to make it easier to find the photos you are looking for in order to share them with others.

Strong Design
• The body of the 5Z is constructed from special aerospace-grade aluminum and is covered by glass. This is meant to keep the phone light and strong. It's finished using zircon-sandblasting technology and an 8-layer optical coating process. A final varnish coat under the glass helps to give it a deep, rich luster.
  
  The entire construction consists of a complex, 206-step process that includes little details, such as a TPU layer under the metal buttons for a more reliable and positive feel, as well as an anti-glare coating to help reduce reflections, improve image quality, and help hide the cameras from view.

AI Call Technology
• In order to product clearer phone calls, built-in AI technology intelligently provides ambient noise cancelation in noisy environments. It will also boost quiet calls so they can be more easily heard.

Intelligent Apps
• The ZenFone 5Z actively learns your favorite apps and is designed to intelligently predict the apps you'll most likely use next. It does this in order to make sure the apps launch quicker, and that app switching is seamless.

ASUS BoostMaster
• BoostMaster is AI-powered charging, which is designed to dynamically adjust the charging rate, slowing down the 3300mAh battery's aging process.

Smart and Powerful Audio
• Built-in stereo speakers are driven by a powerful NXP low-distortion dual Smart AMP, which is designed to provide deep, rich, and expansive sound. The dual Smart AMP intelligently monitors the speakers' performance to drive them louder if needed, while protecting them from damage. Overall, the speakers are 36% bigger than the ZenFone 4, with a 46% louder bottom speaker, and a 27% louder top speaker.

ASUS AudioWizard
• Built-in profiles for different music types let you tailor the phone's settings to suit your listening tastes. The built-in profiles include Jazz, Rock, Pop, Dance, Classic, Vocal, and Normal. It also has a custom Listening Profile mode, which is designed to automatically calibrate the audio settings to suit your own ears.

ZeniMoji
• Exclusive to ASUS, ZeniMoji lets you animate cute avatars using your own voice, facial expressions, and head movements. The avatars can be used in video chats, text chats, and live streaming.
