Product description Multi-Monitors: Maximizing Multitasking Read More The 8-Port KVM over IP Switch with Virtual Media from ATEN allows local console access and remote access over IP for operators to monitor their data center using a web-browser. In addition, it offers out-of-band access with external modem support for BIOS-level troubleshooting when the network is down. To facilitate the management and control of entire data centers, this switch supports blade servers and chassis. The switch's KVM ports can be associated with PDU power outlets for power management of servers from the switch's user interface. Also supported is the Control Center Video Session Recorder software, which records all operations made on servers accessed through the KVM-over-IP switch. Every operation and change from BIOS level to logging in, from running software applications to configuring the operating system, is recorded and saved to a secure video file as evidence. The Virtual Media function enables mapping to storage media on USB, hard disk, and DVD/CD drives located on remote servers, allowing administrators to conduct file transfers, install applications, run OS updates, or perform diagnostics across a network with ease. Additional features and capabilities of this switch include a Message Board, Panel Array Mode, Mouse DynaSync, Adapter ID, and secure dongle-free access to serial-controlled devices including network equipment, Unix servers, Linux servers, Sun servers, and other serial consoles. With dual on-board NICs and dual power supplies, this switch is designed to ensure 24/7 availability of remote access to all server room computers. - Hardware
