Product description Athlon's matte black version of the high-zoom 4.5-30x56 Ares ETR SF Riflescope is optimized for long-range and low-light shooting and combines the strength and durability of 6061-T6 aluminum construction with the contrast and detail of extra-low dispersion (ED) optical glass in a single package. The extra-low dispersion glass offers exceptional image clarity, detail, and contrast due to very low color fringing and high color reproduction. Together with the full multi-coatings, the lenses deliver clear, crisp, and high contrast images with a high level of detail and resolution and low glare. In the first focal plane is the APRS1 MIL illuminated reticle, which operates parallax-free from 25 yards to infinity. The first focal plane location allows the reticle to match the scale of targets and backgrounds as you zoom in and out, and serves correct compensation values, without the necessity to do any additional math. Its pattern features four medium posts and an illuminated crosshair with dense, MRAD-based stadia and a tree-shaped grid of ballistic and wind compensation points below the center.
To bring durability and strength to the table, the housing is crafted from 6061-T6 aluminum alloy and has a single-piece 34mm maintube with a high-precision erector system. It provides exposed and graduated direct dial windage and elevation turrets with a precise zero stop system. Other enhancements include a reticle brightness knob and the eyepiece's low-profile zoom lever. - Optical Performance
