Product description A Guide to Birding with Spotting Scopes Read More Designed to deliver the peak performance required for hunters, birders, shooters, and discerning outdoor enthusiasts, the angled-viewing Athlon Optics Cronus 20-60x86 Spotting Scope has the power and durability that will make it your constant companion wherever you go to glass.This scope employs fully multi-coated, extra-low dispersion glass lens elements set in an apochromatic configuration that eliminates spherical and chromatic aberrations. When combined with its dielectric-coated BAK4 prism system, the results are bright and clear tack-sharp, high-contrast images with accurate color fidelity without distortion across the entire field of view. The broad zoom range allows you to take in a wide field of view for general viewing purposes, with the ability to draw subjects in close for more detailed observations. A dual-speed focusing mechanism makes bringing a buck or bird into sharp view fast and easy.This version of the Cronus is configured with the eyepiece set at a 45° angle relative to the optical tube to place your head in a comfortable viewing position whether you're standing, sitting, or lying prone. Adding to the usability is a rotating mount collar that allows you to precisely place the eyepiece to limit movement and improve comfort. To withstand the rigors of the trail, range, or blind, Athlon built the chassis out of a lightweight and durable magnesium alloy and wrapped it in a protective rubber armor. The large focusing collar is slip resistant, making it easy to achieve a sharp focus in cold and wet weather or while wearing gloves. The optical tube is argon filled and O-ring sealed to be waterproof and resistant to internal fogging if it should accidentally get dropped in a puddle or stream. A custom-made stay-on/view-through nylon case is included that makes setup and breakdown on a tripod or other support system fast and easy while adding another layer of protection and providing the ability to react quickly when opportunities present themselves. - Optical Performance
