Product description The white Atlas Sound FAP8CXT Strategy II Series 8" 60W high-sensitivity coaxial ceiling speaker with high-performance 70.7V / 100V transformer offers clear reproduction of voice and music signals for use in offices, classrooms, and retail shops. The 8" polypropylene cone-type driver and coaxially mounted tweeter are housed by a sturdy metal enclosure, which is tuned and ported for extended low-frequency range. A built-in 2 kHz crossover ensures proper routing of frequencies to the transducers. The FAP8CXT yields a frequency response of 60 Hz to 15 kHz, with adjustable power output settings ranging from an 8-Ohm transformer bypass to a maximum of 60W at 70.7V.The front-mounted tap selector switch is concealed and protected by a press-fit steel grille. System wiring is accommodated by the detachable 4-pole Euroblock connector, located beneath a conduit access panel. A C-Ring / V-Rail tile bridge mounting system is included for easy installation in drop tile or sheetrock ceilings. - Extended Bass Response
- The deep-drawn galvanized metal enclosure is tuned and ported to give the listener an extended bass response.
- Low Distortion
- The FAP8CXT features a curvilinear, polypropylene cone for lower harmonic distortion and a built-in 2 kHz crossover network for proper frequency transition between the two transducers. A 1" exit compression high-frequency driver is coupled to a specially designed conical waveguide horn to provide improved output and accurate high-frequency reproduction.
- Internal Transformer with Selectable Taps
- The 70.7V / 100V internal transformer offers power taps at 1.9, 3.8, 7.5, 15, 30, or 60 watts, as well as an 8-Ohm setting that bypasses the transformer for direct-coupled operation.
- Easy-to-Access Tap Selector
- A convenient, front-mounted, multi-position selector switch allows tap adjustment without having to remove the speaker from the ceiling.
- Sturdy Construction
- The speaker is protected by a press-fit steel mesh grille and housed in an 18-gauge metal enclosure.
- Detachable 4-Pole Connector
- The detachable 4-pole Euroblock (Phoenix-style) connector lets you pre-wire your speaker system and is easily utilized for daisy-chaining.
- "Trap Door" Input Section
- The "trap door" input section accommodates connection of rigid or flexible conduit to the recessed terminal cup.
- Easy Installation
- The FAP8CXT is easily installed in drop tile or sheetrock ceilings via the included C-Ring / V-Rail tile bridge and "dog leg" mounting system. A 1/4"-20 drop forged eyebolt is factory installed into the top of the enclosure for an additional suspension point when used in drop tile ceilings or for pendant mounting.
