Product description The white Atlas Sound SM8SUB70-W is a passive surface-mount subwoofer with a multi-tap transformer designed to deliver reliable low-frequency reinforcement for foreground music systems in waiting rooms, offices, retail stores, restaurants, and more. When driven by your 70.7V, 100V, or 8-Ohm power amplifier (available separately), this subwoofer provides a power capacity of 150W RMS. The SM8SUB70-W is equipped with an 8" long-excursion woofer capable of covering the low-frequency range from 55 to 100 Hz. An internal 18 dB/octave crossover at 125 Hz ensures proper input bandwidth, and the high-efficiency 60W transformer accommodates a range of power taps. Fuse protection for the driver inhibits damage from overloading. The small-format wood enclosure is flyable via 1/4"-20 inserts, and features an input panel with a barrier strip and two parallel 4-pole speakON inputs. - Versatile, flyable wood enclosure
- Multiple 1/4"-20 inserts serve as fly points for a variety of mounting configurations
- Pre-drilled with T-nut inserts for installation of Omnimount bracket (available separately)
- Internal, high-efficiency 60W transformer allows operation with 70.7V/100V amplifiers, or can be bypassed for 8-Ohm operation
- Built-in 18 dB/octave passive crossover at 125 Hz eliminates the need for external low-pass filtering
- Barrier strip input connector for 70.7V/100V operation
- Parallel 4-pole speakON inputs for 8-Ohm operation
- Input panel enables use of standard 4" square box cover (Raco 753 or equivalent) for applications where flex conduit is required for termination
- Fuse protection for driver
- Heavy-duty grille assembly
