Product description Delivering high-performance and reliable connectivity for demanding storage environments, including digital content creation, tape streaming and backup, rich content delivery, server clustering, complex databases, and more, the ThunderLink SH 3128 Thunderbolt 3 to SAS/SATA Adapter from ATTO allows users to achieve high I/O performance for real-time and transactional applications. It is equipped with two 40 Gb/s Thunderbolt 3 ports, which support DisplayPort, USB 3.1 Gen 2, and PCIe protocols, plus daisy chaining for up to six devices, as well as two SFF-8644 mini-SAS ports, each of which supports four devices at speeds up to 12 Gb/s SAS-3. All in all, this adapter lets you connect SAS and SATA devices, including storage and LTO 8 tape drives, to your Windows or Mac system running Thunderbolt 3. Thunderbolt 3 enables a maximum throughput of 2750 MB/s, and thanks to expanders, up to 3500 drives or tape drives are supported. If you don't have Thunderbolt 3, this adapter can be used with Thunderbolt 2 systems via a legacy adapter.
