Product description This Audio-Technica Artist Series Drum Microphone Set provides four microphones suitable for the recording of drums. For your kick, use the ATM250, a dynamic, hypercardioid mic with low-end emphasis that flatters bass drums. The dynamic ATM650 with its hypercardioid polar pattern will work for your snare. The two ATM450 microphones, with their high-pass filter switch at 80 Hz, are cardioid condenser microphones that can work as your overheads. Both mics boast an SPL of 152 dB. A carrying case is included, as are mounting accessories. - ATM250 Dynamic Hypercardioid Instrument Microphone The Audio-Technica ATM250 is a dynamic microphone with a hypercardioid pick up pattern. The sensitivity is custom tailored to withstand high-sound pressure, ideal for capturing kick drum, brass, percussion, bass cabinets and other high-sound pressure sources. The neodymium magnet and output stage results in high gain and very low noise floor. The hypercardioid polar pattern delivers maximum off-axis signal and feedback rejection. The ATM250 includes a professional isolation clamp to provide secure mounting, versatile positioning and effective dampening of unwanted mechanical noise.
- High SPL Capability
- The ATM-250 is capable of capturing drums, brass, percussion and guitar cabinets at close proximity without distortion and noise.
- Optimized for Low Frequencies
- The frequency response is contoured for accurate, rich low-frequency response.
- Hypercardioid Polar Pattern
- The hypercardioid polar pattern is effective in rejecting off-axis noise and feedback.
- ATM650 Dynamic Hypercardioid Instrument Microphone The Audio-Technica ATM650 is a hypercardioid dynamic microphone designed for vocal or general instrument pickup. The rugged design of the ATM650 allows for a long term performance under the most adverse conditions. The ATM650 features a hypercardioid polar pattern for optimum rejection of off-axis noise and feedback. The wide frequency response is tailored for smooth, natural sound reproduction. The ATM650 is a workhorse solution for stage performances.
- Dynamic Element
- The dynamic element handles high-sound pressure without distortion and noise.
- Hypercardioid Polar Pattern
- Hypercardioid polar pattern reduces pickup of sounds from the sides and rear, improving isolation of desired sound source.
- Dual-Wall Floating Construction
- Special dual-wall floating construction reduces handling noise and assures consistent performance from mic to mic.
- Hi-ENERGY Neodymium Magnet
- Hi-ENERGY neodymium magnet for articulate vocal reproduction.
- Multi-Stage Flat Grille
- Multi-stage flat grille design is engineered to enable easy placement as close as possible to sound source.
- ATM450 Cardioid Condenser Instrument Microphone The ATM450 Cardioid Condenser Instrument Microphone from Audio-Technica is designed with a side-address capsule, allowing for easy placement and flexible positioning on percussion, guitar cabinets, piano, and similar applications. The cardioid polar pattern is effective in reducing off-axis noise and feedback, and the wide frequency response results in rich, natural detail. There is a low frequency roll-off switch for reducing low frequency ambiance and noise and a -10 dB Pad switch for providing additional headroom and minimizing noise caused by transient peaks. The package includes an isolation clamp, an adapter, a windscreen, and a soft protective pouch.
- Side Address Capsule
- Side-address stick design maximizes placement options with minimal obstructions
- 80 Hz High Pass Filter
- Integral 80 Hz HPF switch minimizes low frequency noise
- 10 dB Pad
- -10 dB pad switch provides additional headroom and minimizes noise caused by peaking audio signal
