Product description The Audio-Technica AT-DMM828 SmartMixer is designed for automatic mixing within installed sound applications such as for houses of worship, broadcast companies, and conferencing. The 1 RU rackmountable mixer is controlled through a Windows software GUI and will automatically keep the number of open microphones being mixed down to a minimum to reduce background room noise and feedback.
The mixer features eight balanced inputs over phoenix connectors that can use either microphone or line level signals. Each input offers +48 VDC of individually selectable phantom power, individual gain and volume controls, adjustable gate attenuation, and an individually adjustable low-cut filter. The mixer can connect to a Windows PC via RS232 and USB data points for use with Audio-Technica's SmartMixer Software.
The system includes select-able Number of Open Mics Attenuated (NOMA) circuitry that helps control feedback and features a priority pre-select setting that lets the priority of each microphone be independently assigned. The last mic on can also be selected to maintain continuous room ambiance. The mixing software also enables the use of the device's external contact closures to force connected devices to turn on or off. A VCA control enables the volume to be adjusted up or down.
The mixer features eight balanced audio outputs on phoenix connectors to drive amplification systems and other equipment. The unit is compatible with both Crestron and AMX systems, and up to sixteen units can be linked together for a total of 128 channels. - SmartMixer Software
