Product description The Audio-Technica AT5047 is a cardioid studio condenser microphone designed to provide engineers and musicians with an accurate, low-noise reproduction of vocals and instruments in high-end facilities, project studios, and home recording setups. It features four rectangular 2-micron, vapor-deposited gold diaphragms, which offer double the surface area of the 1” circular diaphragms commonly used in large-diaphragm condenser mics. The AT5047’s transformer-coupled output yields a consistent impedance for reliable performance with your preamp.A wide frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz—combined with the ability to handle a maximum SPL of 148 dB—means that you can capture a variety of sources, from soft and nuanced to loud and brash, with detail and accuracy. By producing only 6 dB of self-noise, the mic contributes to a clean and clear signal. The AT5047 is assembled by hand and housed in a durable enclosure made of aluminum and brass.
