Product description The Audio-Technica AT-LP5 Direct-Drive Turntable combines advanced technology with a sleek, contemporary style for a deck that looks every bit as good as it sounds. The AT-LP5 incorporates a J-shaped tone arm, a design that harks back to the 60's and 70's, and utilizes a metallic gimbals suspension system with precision bearings, which mitigate tracking errors. The turntable also features an adjustable counterweight, anti-skate control, and comes outfitted with a lightweight AT-HS10 headshell and high-performance AT95EX dual moving magnet stereo cartridge that was specifically designed for this turntable. Constructed from anti-vibration damping materials with heavy-mass metal chassis inserts, the AT-LP5 limits low-frequency acoustical feedback, while the precision-machined, die-cast aluminum platter is powered by a direct-drive, high-torque motor, ensuring stable, on-axis rotation at 33-1/3 or 45 RPM. The unit features a built-in switchable phono/line preamp that allows it to be connected directly to a computer, home stereo, powered speakers, or any other device without a phono preamp. Additionally, the turntable offers a USB output for direct connection to a computer with compatibility with Windows and Mac OS operating systems. The AT-LP5 ships with dual RCA cable with grounding wire, a 45 RPM adapter, USB cable, power cord, dust cover, and Audacity recording software. -
