Product description The Audio Technica AT8492W is a microphone-mounting system intended for use with the ATM350a cardioid condenser microphone. This system allows you to mount the microphone on any woodwind instrument. It utilizes an adjustable hook-and-loop fastener strap that affixes just above the bell of your sax, clarinet, and many other reed instruments. With its unobtrusive contact points, the mount minimizes damping of your instrument's native resonance. At the same, the fastening strap is rubber-padded to prevent the microphone from slipping. The AT8492W also provides a 5" gooseneck, which is both sturdy and flexible. The gooseneck stays affixed to the socket by means of a locking screw, and allows you to place the microphone however you'd like, maintaining its non-drooping integrity no matter how hard you swing your sax or clutch your clarinet.
