Product description The U891Rx from Audio-Technica is a black cardioid condenser boundary microphone designed to deliver high output with low phase distortion in surface-mount configurations for conferencing, live sound, theater, and studio recording. It features a cardioid polar pattern above the mounting surface, providing 120 degrees of acceptance. The small-diameter capsule yields minimal phase distortion and a frequency response of 30 Hz to 20 kHz. UniGuard RFI shielding reduces radio frequency interference, and a selectable 80 Hz low-cut filter lessens rumble. The multi-mode activation switch can be set for one of three functions, Touch On/Off (latching), Touch-to-Talk (momentary on), or Touch-to-Mute (momentary off). The microphone’s heavy die-cast case has silicon foam bottom pads that decrease the transfer of vibration and surface noise. The TB3M output with a PivotPoint rotating connector allows the cable to exit from either the rear or the bottom of the mic. A 25' TB3-female to standard XLR male cable is supplied. The U891Rx requires 11 to 52V phantom power. -
