Product description The AudioQuest Cinnamon Toslink to Toslink Digital Audio Cable (4.92') is designed to reduce distortion in your digital audio signal. To achieve this, the cable utilizes lower-dispersion higher-purity fiber with precision-polished fiber ends. Instead of using a long 1.0mm diameter optical fiber which has impurities, imperfections, and causes the light to bend, disperse and transfer at different optical angles, this cable uses hundreds of smaller fibers in a 1.0mm diameter bundle. Using smaller fibers limits the amount of bend and dispersion within the bundle so that more of the light arrives coherently at the decoder with better time alignment. This reduces dispersion, jitter timing errors, and the amount of signal loss at the digital-to-conversion stage. The improved coherency and timing of the light translates to a better digital conversion and more accurate sounding audio.
