Product description The 10' Irish Red Subwoofer Cable from AudioQuest has an RCA connector on each side and features solid 0.5% silver-plated conductors. - Solid 0.5% Silver Conductors
- Solid silver-plated conductors eliminate strand-interaction distortion and reduce jitter. They are made for very high-frequency applications which travel almost exclusively on the surface of the conductor.
- Foamed-Polyethylene Insulation
- Irish Red uses air-filled foamed-polyethylene insulation on both conductors which minimizes distortion.
- Metal-Layer Noise-Dissipation System (NDS)
- The Noise-Dissipation System prevents a significant amount of RFI from reaching the equipment's ground plane.
- Symmetrical Coax Geometry
- Identical positive and negative conductors prevent the shield being used as an inferior audio conductor.
- Cold-Welded Gold-Plated Plugs
- This plug design allows for a connection devoid of solder. The ground shells are stamped instead of machined so the metal can be chosen for low distortion instead of machinability.
- Grounding
- To avoid hum, you can attach the little spade-lug tails to the metal chassis of the subwoofer amplifier and to the chassis of the sending component.
