Product description The MicroD Condenser Instrument Microphone from Audix features a lightweight, miniature profile for easy and unobtrusive microphone placement. There is a modular capsule design, allowing you to switch the included hyper-cardioid capsule with a separately sold cardioid capsule. The microphone's high sensitivity and wide frequency response are suitable for both instrument and vocal capturing, and the standard hyper-cardioid capsule provides maximum noise rejection at the off-axis sections of the microphone. A frequency response of 40 Hz to 20 kHz delivers smooth uniform signal reproduction of a wide variety of sources.
The MicroD is capable of handling sound pressure levels of up to 140 dB, enabling reproduction of transients (peaks) without noise caused by distortion. The microphone's output section features low noise circuitry and a balanced, gold-plated XLR output for long cable runs. The microphone is powered using an included external phantom power supply source. The package also includes a flexible mini-gooseneck with a spring-loaded rim mount clamp and an aluminum ring with a rubber shockmount, an external foam windscreen for reducing wind, sibilance, and pop noise, and a carrying pouch. - Modular Capsule System
