The 7' CFP-68N Carbon Fiber Telescoping Boom Pole from Auray is a lightweight and durable boom pole that is loaded with features like anti-twist tube design, ergonomic twist locks, the unique removable arrowhead tip for reduced weight distribution, and the option of easily adding an internal cable. It allows you to place a microphone close to a subject while remaining at a distance or out of frame whether recording a film, a documentary, or a run-and-gun ENG (Electronic News Gathering) production.The boom poles feature reinforced carbon fiber composite tubes that offer an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio. They are lightweight yet durable, and are designed to withstand the rigors of field use and reduce handling fatigue during lengthy sessions. They are easy to handle, even in extreme temperatures, and are built with ergonomic twist locks for a comfortable grip, and anti-twist tube sections which prevents the tubes from rotating independently of each other. The removable arrowhead-tip design reduces the weight at the top of the pole further reducing fatigue, and allows for easy solderless cable insertion. Featuring a standard 3/8"-16 threaded mount, the boom pole fits most microphone shock mounts. Carbon Fiber
The CFP series features matrix-reinforced carbon fiber composite tubes that offer an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, and are comfortable to handle even in extreme temperatures. The lightweight design reduces handling fatigue during lengthy sessions.
Removable Arrowhead Tip
The unique arrowhead-tip design reduces weight at the top of the pole. It also allows for easy drop-through cable insertion and makes adding a cable quick and uncomplicated when using the Auray CFC series cable replacement kits.
Anti-Twist Tube Sections & Ergonomic Twist-Locks
The anti-twist design prevents the tube sections from rotating independently of each other, and allows for one handed operation of the twist locks. This is particularly useful to boom pole operators when quick length adjustment, as well as fast setup and breakdown, are essential. The ergonomic twist-locks are comfortable to grip. Together they make length adjustment fast and effortless.
Coiled XLR Cable
Auray's coiled XLR cable can be added to your boom pole by adding the matching CFC-Series Cable Replacement Kit combined with the Auray CFP-BE or CFP-RE attachment (sold separately). The cable features a right angle Neutrik XLR connector.
Removable Arrowhead Tip
The unique arrowhead-tip design reduces weight at the top of the pole. Combined with a unique quick connect cable system, it allows for solderless drop-through cable insertion and makes cable replacement quick and uncomplicated, without the need for special tools. Auray's cable replacement kit is sold separately.
Expandable
Carbon fiber extension tubes are optionally available for easily adding length to your boom pole in a pinch as your session requires, without sacrificing strength.
