Product description The RF-C17 Studio Isolation Filter from Auray provides a solution for music producers, broadcasters, and podcasters looking to help isolate a microphone to achieve better recordings in a space that is less than ideal for capturing audio. The Auray Studio Isolation Filter allows you to capture clean, dry vocals or instrument recordings that sound more natural with less sonic coloration.The RF-C17 fits on a standard microphone or boom stand and uses a rugged ABS polymer frame, four-layers of acoustic treatment, a vented back, plus a layer of acoustic composite fiber to absorb unwanted ambient noise and control acoustic reflections. In a nutshell, if you're recording vocals, voiceovers, or podcasts in an untreated room with hard surfaces, the RF-C17 provides advanced microphone isolation for better-sounding results. - Microphone Isolation
- Recording, broadcasting, or podcasting in rooms with little-to-no acoustic treatment can wash-out vocal or instrument audio recordings with echo reflections. The Auray Studio Isolation Filter fits on your boom or microphone stand and minimizes reflections of unwanted noise bouncing off hard surfaces and entering your microphone. Usually, expensive acoustic foam is required on studio walls to achieve this "dry" sound. This reflection filter lets you capture similar results even in an untreated workspace.
- Multi-Layer Acoustic Treatment
- Four layers of acoustic treatment help to isolate your vocal and instrument recordings. A thick layer of composite fiber surrounds your microphone and absorbs unwanted reflections as well as any noise coming in from the room. An extra layer of acoustic material, a vented back, and fabric covering help deaden and disperse sound waves, which leaves your incoming audio sounding clean and dry with less coloration.
- Adjustable Mic Depth
- The RF-C17 allows the microphone depth to be adjusted so you can dial in the right amount of room ambience. Easily slide the filter closer to the microphone and pick up less of the room sound or slide the filter away from the microphone for more space in your recording.
- Mounting Options
- The Auray Studio Isolation Filter can be mounted directly to the top of your microphone stand. The included 5/8 to 3/8" adapter allows for quick setup and configuration.
