Product description The Avantone Abbey is a full-range studio monitor that extends down to 35 Hz thanks to its three-way design. Technically it sports four drivers in all: A high-frequency air-motion transformer, a 5.3” midrange driver, and two custom-designed 6.5 low-frequency drivers, which aid in the overall frequency response of 35 Hz to 38 kHz. This frequency response, coupled with its SPL rating of 106 dB and Class HD amplification, render the Abbey suitable for work in active recording environments, as well as mixing rooms, and even certain mastering locales. The cabinet itself is constructed out of 18mm MDF, utilizing polyester acoustical stuffing and a bass-reflex design to help it suit the needs of different acoustical spaces. The monitor's crossover points have been constructed to foster a natural transition between the drivers, operating both above and below the crucial midrange band to preserve the accuracy of that all-too-important register. This helps you judge elements such as vocals, guitars, keyboards, and more with greater prescision. The monitor excepts XLR and 1/4" connections, and work with +4 dBu and -10 dBV sources. Power cables are included. This particular Abbey is styled in a creme finish. - Key Features at a Glance
