Product description The 4 x 1 HDMI Quad MultiViewer with Rotation, Chromakey, and Audio from Avenview can be used for multiview (quadview), switching, and compositing. If features four HDMI inputs, and allows you to zoom in, rotate, and arrange all four sources in custom configuration within a single SD or HD frame. The multiview feature can be used in surveillance to monitor up to four cameras on one screen, as an accessory to a live video switcher that doesn't provide built-in multiview, or for creative digital signage applications. It can also act as a seamless switcher. Seamless means the image fades to black, and then fades back in during the transition for source A to source B. Finally, the device can be used for compositing and chroma key. In chroma key mode only two of the four inputs will be used, one serves as the foreground element and one the background.
The program video feed is output over a single HDMI port that, in multiview mode, combines all four input sources into a single feed. To configure the multiview arrangement or manually switch between inputs there is an OSD (on screen display) that is accessible using front panel buttons, an Ethernet port for Telnet control, and an RS-232 port. - Seamless Switching with Fade In/Out
- When used as a switcher, during the interval between switching from once source to the next the image fades to black, then fades back in for a seamless transition
- Zoom In/Out
- The device can zoom in on any of the four HDMI inputs for close inspection of a particular quadrant or to create custom screen layouts for AV presentation applications
- PIP, POP, and Overlay
- Custom multiview configurations include PIP (picture-in-picture), where a smaller image is surrounded by a larger one, picture-on-picture when one image partially covers a second, and overlay, allowing you to place the overlay image anywhere in the frame
- Image Flip and Mirror
- Ideal if you need to correct a portrait-oriented image that is on its side. Using the zoom feature you can then incorporate the righted image into a custom multiview layout. The image can be rotated 90 or 180°, and mirroring is also possible
- Channel Size and Position
- Allows the user to define the size of each of the four video channels as well as choose their placement within the frame
- Chroma Key
- In chroma key mode only two of the four video channels will be used; one for the foreground and one for the background element of the composite. Hardware chroma key is useful in live broadcast scenarios where a presenter needs to be shown standing in front of a virtual background, such as the weather person
- Multiple Control Options
- The multiview layout can be confirmed directly using the OSD (on screen display) and front panel buttons, using the IR remote, across a network or WAN using Telnet, or via RS-232
Additional Features - Audio support for LPCM (up to 8-channels), AC3, DTS, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TruHD and DTS-HD
- Fine tuning and adjustments of contrast, brightness, saturation and hue
- Auto EDID detection from the HDMI source
- USB port for Service Mode and firmware upgrades
- 1RU Rackmountable form factor
