Product description The Media Composer 8 Backup USB for Windows from Avid is a flash drive containing the Media Composer 8 installer. With this USB drive you can re-install the Windows version of Media Composer 8 without connecting to the Internet and waiting to download a new copy. This is ideal for users who, for security reasons, do not want their editing computer connected to the Internet. It is also useful for dongle license users, allowing you to get up and running quicker when switching to a new computer.
This is designed for use by those who wish to maintain a separate install capability rather than relying on a download from the web. Once you have installed the software using the USB drive you must still activate it, using your dongle or active registration information. - USB Install Drive
- The software on the USB drive allows you to install Media Composer 8 on your system. However, the software will not work, unless you have a valid license to use the software.
