• NEXIS | PRO 40TB Shared Storage System Centralize your video storage with Avid's NEXIS | PRO 40TB Shared Storage System. Using 10 7200 rpm drives with 4TB of storage each, NEXIS | PRO creates a safe and reliable storage solution for your professional video or audio workflow. NEXIS | PRO seamlessly integrates with Avid or select third-party professional software programs. It can store all your video, audio and other essential files for your projects while granting simultaneous access to up to 24 users. Despite its advanced functionality, NEXIS | PRO is designed to be easy to set up and start running without the aid of a networking professional. For protection and increased speed, NEXIS | PRO uses redundant storage which can retain your data through two simultaneous drive failures. In the event of a failure, NEXIS | PRO can rebuild data to replacement drives very quickly to maintain redundancy. NEXIS | PRO is contained in a compact rackmountable chassis so you can use the included rackmount slide rail brackets to secure it with your other networking hardware.

  • NEXIS | PRO mitigates the storage sharing and media copying shuffle of using individual USB, FireWire, eSATA, or Thunderbolt drives, allowing up to 24 editors, assistants, loggers and other contributors to access media at the same time.
  Scalable Storage
  • With NEXIS | PRO you can expand your raw storage capacity from 40TB up to 160TB, in 40TB increments, by adding extra NEXIS Storage Engines as needed. Connect up to four Engines together for maximum capacity and bandwidth, enabling you to keep your valuable assets protected, available and within easy reach through a centralized media hub.
  Fast Data Rates
  • With support for real-time SD, HD, 2K and 4K media performance, NEXIS | PRO is optimized for modern media production workflows. If you need more throughput power to support more demanding high-resolution projects and collaborations, while a single unit can provide 600 MB/s data rate, you can increase bandwidth up to 1,200 MB/s by adding more Storage Engines into your setup.
  Supports Avid and 3rd Party Software
  • As a component of the Avid MediaCentral Platform, NEXIS | PRO is designed to be used with both Avid and third-party editing and asset management tools. You can accelerate your workflow, whether using Avid Media Composer, Avid Pro Tools, Apple Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, Blackmagic Design's DaVinci Resolve and Grass Valley EDIUS. And you can manage media through easy integration with third-party asset management software. Plus, NEXIS | PRO works with NETGEAR XS712T and Dell N2024 and N3024 switches, precluding costly and complex network switches.

• Dell Networking N2024 1-Gigabit Ethernet Layer 3 Switch The Dell Networking N2024, from Avid, is a 24-port 1-Gigabit Ethernet switch compatible with the NEXIS | 1000 20TB Shared Storage System that enables multiple workstations and network devices to access your stored media. It offers Layer 3 standard Ethernet switches with basic routing functionality and features two unpopulated SPF+ 10-Gigabit Ethernet ports. Additionally, the unit offer rear mini-SAS stacking ports for linking up to 12 units together. The unit is rack-mountable in 1U of space using an included rack-mounting kit.
