Product description The Axis Communications P7214 4-Channel Barebone Video Encoder enables a cost-effective way to gain all the benefits of professional network video without discarding existing analog investments. This video encoder offers advanced network capabilities with great video performance and impressive audio quality. This 4-channel encoder offers 1 H.264 and 1 Motion JPEG stream per channel at full frame rate in all resolutions up to D1 (720 x 480 NTSC or 720 x 576 PAL).The support for H.264 offers a video compression format that drastically reduces bandwidth and storage requirements without compromising image quality. Moreover, this video encoder also offers powerful, full-featured, and efficient integration of analog cameras into an IP-based video surveillance system and is suitable for locations such as gas stations, convenience stores, and small offices. The P7214 Encoder presents intelligent video capabilities such as video motion detection, active tampering alarm, and 2-way audio with audio detection. It also includes support for PoE (Power over Ethernet, IEEE 802.3af), which enables it to receive power through the network cable. Furthermore, the encoder provides pan, tilt, and zoom support, enabling control of analog PTZ cameras. This standalone encoder also has a 1 microSDHC memory card slot for edge storage. Note: - Memory card sold separately.
- Power supply sold separately.
High Performance, 4-Channel Solution with Impressive Audio Quality - This is a compact, 4-channel video encoder that has good video performance and impressive audio quality as it can simplify migration to network video without upgrading existing camera systems.
Powerful and Full-Featured - The encoder provides edge storage through a microSDHC memory card slot. It supports all types of analog cameras including PTZ (pan/tilt/zoom) and PTZ domes. It also features both RS-422 and RS-485 for controlling analog PTZ cameras. Configurable inputs/outputs can be connected to external relays and sensors for activating lights, locking/unlocking doors, and more.
The Easy Way to a Smarter CCTV System - It is suitable for small and medium analog video installations, especially where an IP network infrastructure is already in place. Designed for installation close to the camera, this encoder is powered over Ethernet using the same cable as for data transmission, which simplifies installation.
Reduced Bandwidth and Storage - The encoder can deliver 2 simultaneous video streams, 1 in H.264, and another in motion JPEG, at full frame rate. The H.264 video compression format drastically reduces bandwidth and storage requirements without compromising image quality. Motion JPEG is supported for increased flexibility.
Additional Features - Full frame rate in all resolutions and all compression formats
- Intelligent video capabilities such as video motion detection, active tampering alarm, and audio detection
- Advanced security and network management features such as HTTPS encryption with preserved performance, IPv6 and Quality of Service
- Open Application Programming Interface (API) for software integration, including VAPIX from Axis Communications
Approvals - EN 55022 Class B, EN 61000-3-2, EN 61000-3-3, EN 55024, EN61000-6-1, EN61000-6-2, EN 60950-1, C-tick AS/NZS CISPR 22, FCC Part 15 Subpart B Class B, ICES-003 Class B, VCCI Class B, KCC Class B, UL/IEC/EN 60950-1
