Product description The PoE+ Over Coax Blade Kit from Axis Communications includes one T8646 PoE+ over coax blade and six T8642 Ethernet over coax device adapters. The 6-channel T8646 POE+ Over Coax Blade enables use of coaxial cables for PoE applications. It supports IEEE 802.3af and IEEE 802.3at. T8646 can be used with Axis video encoder chassis together with Axis T8082 or Axis T8085 power supplies. The six included Axis T8642 Ethernet over coax device units should be used on the camera side. Both the device unit and the network camera can receive power over the coax cable using the rack-mountable Axis T8082 or Axis T8085 power supply (available separately), making the installation and maintenance effective. - T8646 POE+ Over Coax Blade (6-Channel) The 6-channel T8646 POE+ Over Coax Blade from Axis Communications enables use of coaxial cables for PoE applications. It supports IEEE 802.3af and IEEE 802.3at. The T8646 can be used with an Axis video encoder chassis together with an Axis T8082 or Axis T8085 power supply. This blade requires one Axis T8642 POE+ over coax device for every channel at the camera end.
- T8642 PoE+ over Coax Device Unit The T8642 PoE+ over Coax Device Unit from Axis Communications is a single-channel solution that allows legacy coax cabling to be used when converting an analog system to IP. This device unit receives power via coax and delivers PoE+ to a network device. A base unit (available separately) receives PoE and transmits it via coax.
This device delivers a transmission distance up to 1600'. Thanks to plug-and-play installation, operation is kept simple. LED indicators give confirmation of network and power status. - Compatible with the Axis T8641 PoE+ over Coax Base Unit and T8646 PoE+ over Coax Blade (available separately)
