Product description Rugged and standalone, the Q7424-R Mk II 4-Channel Video Encoder from Axis Communications, available here as a pack of 10 units,, is a flexible solution for migration of analog cameras into an IP-based surveillance system. It is designed to work in difficult conditions and operates in a wide temperature range of -40 to 167°F. Also, for video it offer H.264 and MJPEG compression at D1 resolutions up to 30 fps. Along with this it has four video channels, PTZ camera control for each channel, and a Quad View capability. And, in addition to the RJ-45 Ethernet port for networking it has an SFP slot for fiber connections, allowing for efficient, cost-effective wiring over long distances.
Intelligent video features built into the unit include numerous event management tools, including a tampering alarm, motion detection, and audio detection, as well as AXIS Camera Application platform applications. The device also has support for 802.3af/at PoE for simple installations and it features an SD card slot as well as NAS support for edge storage. Additionally, it is ONVIF compliant.
