Product description The Axis Communications Q7920 High-Density Video Encoder Chassis is a 5U rack mount video encoder chassis that holds up to 14 hot-swappable blades. The video encoder chassis, when fully equipped, enables up to 84 analog cameras to be integrated into an IP-based video surveillance system. It comes in a black/silver (NCS S 9000-N) casing. The Q7920 Chassis allows a number of different video encoder blades to be mounted and thereby offering a flexible, expandable, high-density solution. It allows any combination of blades, whether they are 4- or 6-channel blades supporting different compression formats, resolutions and frame rates. This rack mount video encoder chassis is a video surveillance solution suitable for large, mission critical installations where high performance, flexibility, and reliability are required. This encoder chassis is a reliable solution with its power and network redundancy. It offers both RJ45 ports and SFP slots to ensure flexible and cost-effective long distance network connectivity. The video encoder chassis supports PTZ control through RS485 connectors at the back of each slot. Each slot also has connections for external input and/or output devices, which allow for external alarm triggers and control of devices such as door locks or lights.
