Product description Improve visibility and reduce flare with the B+W 86mm Screw-In Metal Wide-Angle Lens Hood #970. It is meant for use on wide lenses with angles of view up to 70°, i.e., focal lengths of approximately 28mm or longer in full-frame format. The hood is designed to block stray light from entering the lens, and features matte black, light-absorbing inner grooves that help accomplish this goal.
A slim profile allows the accessory to stay out of your frame when shooting, so as not to cause vignetting. Additionally, since it protrudes beyond the front element, the hood protects the glass against light impact. Built to last, it is crafted in Germany from durable, black anodized aluminum.
