Product description This version of the BAE 1032 4-Band Mic/Line Preamp Module was inspired by the design of the classic 1081. It uses the same components and manufacturing techniques used in other modules that feature the same Class-A transformer-coupled circuits and modular cards for long-term serviceability. In addition to a passive inductor high-pass filter, the 4-band equalizer provides greater coverage of the frequency spectrum. The high-mid and low-mid frequencies overlap for flexibility in correcting problematic frequencies. The unit also provides a more comprehensive high-frequency shelf up to 24 kHz for extended high-frequency correction without compromising the midrange. Unlike the 1081, this unit utilizes a Class-A amplifier output stage. The unit incorporates Swiss-made Elma rotary switches to create a preamp that looks as good as it sounds.
