Product description A graphic equalizer in a 500-series rack enclosure, the BAE G10 provides a transformer-balanced signal path and 10 fixed frequency bands, giving you the ability to boost or cut these set frequencies by 12 dB. A 2520-style op-amp, similar to those used in classic 1970s American boards, has been built into the unit, which gives the G10 a punchy quality that works quite well for tracking and mixing drum sounds, guitar sounds—or even a whole mix, when used in conjunction with a duplicate unit. The graphic interface, in addition to being fixed, allows you to clearly see the curve you’re implementing, giving you a better feeling for the sounds you’re creating. Switchable high- and low-pass filters remain at fixed frequencies (80 Hz and 12 kHz respectively), allowing you to cut unnecessary low-end rumble or high-end harshness. In addition to the op-amp, BAE has used CineMag transformers to balance the input and output stages, which impart a specific and pleasant tonal quality to audio passing through the EQ. These features make it a suitable selection for engineers looking to quickly tweak the frequency content of their signals outside the box. - EQ Features
