Product description The B&H Binocular Buying Guide Read More sttursaezyedsdqtssvraduqeucsar The 8x42 Series-4 Binocular from Barr & Stroud combines a fully multicoated lens system and phase-corrected BaK4 prisms to create a color-faithful high-transmission optical path that is well-suited for low light performance. This 8x optic features a 6.2° angle of view and has the ability to focus within seven feet, equipping the Series-4 for close to mid-range observations like birding and hunting. In addition to their image quality, the Series-4 binocular also has a long 18mm eye relief and twist-up rubber eyecups with multiple click-stop settings that can provide a comfortable viewing distance even for eyeglass wearers.Complementing the high-transmission 8x42 optical path is a nitrogen-filled fogproof housing that is submergible to almost five feet for three minutes. An open-bridge design helps to evenly balance the weight of the binocular and make it easier to handle with one hand than other common bridge configurations. A lightweight polycarbonate housing, armored with slip-resistant rubber, equips the Series-4 binocular to handle demanding weather conditions.
