Its 10x magnification is ideal for bird watching, hiking, and sightseeing; and the larger 42mm objectives, coupled with multi-coated optics, draw in copious amounts of light versus smaller-objective optics to produce bright and clear images with competent low-light performance. Utilizing an open-bridge/dual-hinge configuration helps to cut weight without sacrificing stability while providing plenty of room to wrap your hands completely around the optical tubes for a better grip.The combination of long eye relief, wide exit pupil, and twist-up eyecups ensures comfortable use by most people with or without eyewear in all light conditions. The optical tubes are nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed for water and fogproof performance, so you can be confident bringing them with you anywhere you go.
