Product description The B&H Binocular Buying Guide Read More Barska's green 8x42 Level ED Waterproof Binocular present clear and crisp high-contrast views with accurate color representation across a distortion-free wide field of view. This is accomplished through the use of extra low-dispersion (ED) glass, fully multi-coated optics, and BAK4 prisms to correct chromatic and spherical aberrations and reduce internal light diffraction while improving light transmission. Add to these performance features, a short 6' close focus distance, a wide 65° angle of view, plus wide exit pupil and long eye relief, and users are presented with an immersive observational experience.To help improve grip strength and overall stability, Barska built this version with an open-bridge that opens the middle of the optic to allow fingers to wrap around the tubes, and dual hinges that support the front and rear of the tubes and keep the barrels parallel and aligned. To withstand the rigors of the trail, the chassis is wrapped in a protective rubber armor that is textured to further ensure a secure slip-resistant grip. The optical tubes are nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to provide water and fogproof performance in all weather conditions and temperatures. The combination of optics and construction details make the Level ED an ideal addition to your kit - whether you're in the woods, on the range, at the stadium, or sightseeing around town. - Optical Performance
