Product description Make a notable improvement to your lab or work station with the Barska AY13074 Binocular Compound Microscope. This optic qualifies as a full-featured lab microscope with its inclined Siedentopf 360° rotating head, color-coded objectives, precision stage and focusing, and a powerful illumination system. This microscope features four color-coded objectives (4x, 10x, 40x, and 100x) and two sets of widefield eyepieces (10x and 20x). Together they can muscle up an optical magnification up to 2000x. The 100x objective ought to be used with immersion oil to ensure a proper resolution and focus of your samples and to protect the objective and your sample from accidental damage. All four objectives are attached to the ball bearing rotating nosepiece, which makes changing magnification an easy and smooth experience. The head provides ergonomics by offering inclined viewing, a 360° rotation (for sharing and work comfort), and a Siedentopf interpupillary adjustment, which eliminates the need for refocusing your slides after readjusting the width between two oculars. For aligning areas of interest within a field of view easily and with high levels of precision, this scope is equipped with a mechanical stage that has fine vernier controls. For holding your slides securely, it also has a locking metal bracket. Your slides will be illuminated from the bottom by a 20W halogen lamp, whose beam is focused via a 1.25 NA Abbe condenser. The illuminator is powered via the power supply and has a rheostat for controlling brightness.
To ensure reliability and repeatability in focusing and overall stability of the microscope on your work bench, the frame is made of aluminum and copper. It features a wide base and an arched back that can serve as a carry handle. It also allows you to adjust the working distance and has two coaxial fine/coarse focusing knobs on both sides of the back for ambidextrous use. - Optics & Illumination
