Product description A Guide to Birding with Spotting Scopes Read More Outfitted with a powerful magnification range, an oversized objective, and extra low-dispersion (ED) glass, the Barska Level ED 20-60x85 Spotting Scope is an ideal companion for birders, hunters, and nature enthusiasts who require a versatile and portable optic on the trail or at the range. This spotter has a large 85mm objective to draw in copious amounts of light and a zoom range that provides wide views at low power with the ability to make detailed observations of distant subjects at its highest magnification. It also has ED glass and anti-reflection fully multi-coated optics to improve light transmission, color rendition, and contrast to enable it to clearly resolve subjects at extreme distances even in low-light conditions such as at dawn or dusk or under overcast skies.The scope's eyepiece is set at a 45° angle to the optical tube and the tripod collar can rotate the orientation of the eyepiece to the tripod to allow you to put it in a comfortable viewing position whether standing, sitting, or lying prone. To help offset the weight of the large objective and prism system, the chassis is made of a lightweight and durable magnesium alloy that is wrapped in a slip-resistant protective rubber armor. A textured dual-speed zoom collar and focus knob ensure easy focusing and handling in cold and wet weather or while wearing gloves. Included with the spotter is a soft stay-on/view-through case for optimum mobility and additional protection from drops or impacts, a foam-lined hard carrying case to provide maximum protection during transport and storage, and a tabletop tripod with a pan/tilt head to give you a complete system right out of the box. - Optical Performance
