Product description Introduce your kids or students to the exciting world of microscopy with the Barska Microscope Explorer Kit. The kit includes a compact compound monocular microscope with a specimen stage and a collection of the most common microscope accessories, all packaged into a hard carry case. The microscope's optical system features three objective lenses on a rotating nosepiece and a 20x eyepiece, which collectively produce magnifications of 300x, 600x, and 1200x. Young explorers will be able to secure their specimens on the stage using two built-in clips, and light them from below using a built-in illuminator that has a mirror on one side and an LED lamp on the opposite side. For achieving an ideal image sharpness, the microscope features an adjustable working distance and a coarse focus knob. The device is powered by two AA batteries and offers an arched back that can be used as a handle for carrying. The kit also contains a multitude of accessories and specimens for immediate use so you don't have to shop around for introductory level slides containing a shrimp hatchery, sea salt, and brine shrimp eggs, or for useful tools like tweezers, collection vials, and a Petri dish.
