Product description The BMAX from BBE is a versatile preamp designed for electric bass guitars, capable of achieving a wide array of tones. For use in situations where a bass "stack" is impractical or for obtaining warmth and dynamic range prior to going into a mixer input, the preamp features inputs for both passive and active pickup based instruments. The BMAX also features tone-sculpting tools in the form of a three-band shelving EQ and a single-band, quasi-parametric EQ. Dynamics can be controlled by an optical, soft-knee based compressor and frequencies restored using a full-function Sonic Maximizer section. Both the later processes can be switched using optional foot pedals. - High-quality, pristine preamplifier for the bass guitar
- Inputs for both passive pickup and active pickup instruments
- Transformerless electronically balanced DI output
- In performance applications, the unit's ergonomics are intuitive and easy to use
- Includes a full-function BBE Sonic Maximizer
- EQ, dynamics controls and the Sonic Maximizer process afford a wide palette of tonal possibilities
- Solid-state, Class A/B front end with interactive three-band EQ and "bright" switch
- Optical "soft knee" compressor
