Product description The A800 Professional 800W Reference-Class Power Amplifier from Behringer is a lightweight power amplifier for recording studios, post-production houses, live sound, and hi-fi applications. It features many input connections such as balanced XLR, 1/4" TRS, and RCA connectors, and twist-lock speaker and binding-post outputs for easy compatibility for just about any setup. The A800's D-Class power amplifier delivers 2 x 400W into 4 Ohms or 800W mono into 8 Ohms in bridged operation. Other features include: convection-cooling for noise-free and stable operation, precise level meter and clip indicators for accurate performance monitoring, and ultralow-impedance design that can drive any passive speaker such as studio monitors, small PA speakers, and more. The A800 Professional 800W Reference-Class Power Amplifier with updated SmartSense technology puts the punch back into amplification, providing an improved full-range frequency response with more bass, and smoother high-frequency, which results in natural audio reproduction, especially in the low-frequency area. - A800 Audio Reproduction
- The A800 reference amplifier is an ideal choice for home and professional recording studios, post-production suites, or anyone seeking audiophile-grade performance. It provides accurate audio reproduction without distortion or artificial coloration. The servo-controlled design and the high-level components used throughout deliver a natural sonic performance.
- Performance
- The A800 can produce 2 x 400W at 4 Ohms or 800W in bridged mono mode at 8 Ohms with headroom for pristine audio reproduction. The A800's advanced convection cooling technology ensures stable, noise-free operation, while the servo-controlled design allows it to drive virtually any passive speaker system.
- Metering and I/O
- A level meter with input clip and channel protection LEDs are provided for accurate performance monitoring. Input connections are offered in the form of balanced XLR and 1/4" TRS connectors, as well as unbalanced RCA sockets, ensuring you have loads of input options. Plus, the speaker outputs give you the choice between professional twist-lock and binding post connectors.
- Class-D Massive Power
- The high-density Class-D amplifier technology delivers enormous power and sonic performance in an easy-to-use, ultra-portable and lightweight package. Class-D amplification offers energy efficiency and eliminates the need for heavy power supplies and heat sinks.
- SmartSense Impedance Compensation
- SmartSense Technology puts the punch back into Class-D amplification. It provides updated full-range frequency response with more powerfull dynamic bass, and smoother high-frequency reproduction. The resulting output is no longer dependent on the actual load, but is rendered flat via impedance compensation. The A800's design also incorporates a significantly higher damping factor that yields better amplifier control over the loudspeaker for stronger audio reproduction especially in the low-frequency area.
