Product description - XENYX UFX1204 Analog Mixer and Multichannel USB/Firewire Interface
From input to output, the XENYX UFX1204 Premium 12-Input 4-Bus Mixer from Behringer is all about functionality, ease of use, and versatility. Mono channels on this mixer feature semi-parametric mid control, allowing you to dial in the frequency center and boost or cut by as much as 15 dB. All channels feature XENYX mic preamps and accept both balanced XLR and 1/4" TRS, as well as unbalanced 1/4" TS connections. A Line / Hi-Z switch is also provided on channels 1 & 2 so you can connect acoustic, electric, and bass guitars without the need for an external DI box.
This mixer makes it easy to capture your live performances or home recording sessions. All you need to do is to plug a USB stick into the rear panel, and hit the record button on the 16-track recorder control interface. You can even control any compatible computer-based DAW directly from your UFX mixer via MIDI. Also, the channel EQ on this XENYX mixer allows you to imbue signals with warmth and detailed musical character. Even when applied generously, these equalizers exhibit good audio quality. Additionally, the mixer features individually switchable, true +48V phantom power on all mono channels, allowing you to use even top-of-the-line studio condenser microphones.
Stereo channels on the mixer support balanced and unbalanced 1/4" line connections and the 4-band British EQs provide tonal adjustment. All channels feature 4 Aux Sends, switchable Pre / Post FireWire Sends, Mute / Alt 3-4 functionality, and smooth, long-wearing 60mm logarithmic-taper faders, as well as a 100mm main mix fader.
The one-knob compression design on the mixer is available on all mono channels and is easy to operate, even for entry-level users. Now you can easily dial in the apt amount of compression for instruments and vocals, creating powerful mixes with punch and clarity.
The UFX1204 mixer comes with a high-end stereo FX processor with 16 editable presets that include reverb, chorus, flanger, delay, phaser, multi-effects, and tap function for performance enhancement.
This mixer also includes access to a free download of Tracktion 4, which is fun and easy-to-use music production software that puts everything you will need on your desktop, on a single screen without all the drop-down and hidden menus that are common to most other DAWs. This software does not limit the number of tracks you can record, or the number of effects you can use. Recording and editing is easier and you simply have to drag, drop, cut, copy, or paste.
