Product description Optimized for boardrooms, classrooms, and other presentation applications, the MX723 XGA DLP Multimedia Projector from BenQ features a brightness of 3700 lumens and a native resolution of 1024 x 768 (XGA). To help provide flexibility in terms of placement relative to the screen, it features a 1.6x optical zoom with a 1.4 to 2.3:1 throw ratio. In addition to its native resolution, it can be connected to a range of devices from 480i up to WUXGA (1920 x 1200) thanks to internal scaling.
The projector features two HDMI inputs for computers, HDTV appliances, document cameras, HDMI-enabled mobile devices, and more. One of the HDMI inputs features MHL support, meaning it can power a compatible mobile device through the same connection used by the HDMI signal. For legacy analog devices, there are two VGA inputs, plus a single VGA output so that one of the VGA signals can be passed along to a monitor, second projector, or other secondary display. One composite and one S-video input allow VCRs, DVD players, SD camcorders, and other analog SD equipment to be connected. Finally, there are two analog audio inputs, one on RCA connectors that is paired with the composite/S-video inputs, and one on a 3.5mm connector to accompany the VGA inputs. There is also a 3.5mm mic input so that audio from a presenter's microphone can be piped through the projector's 10 watt speaker. As an alternative to the speaker, there is a 3.5mm audio output for use with amplified speakers or a separate sound system.
An IR remote is included for local control or you can use buttons on the projector itself if it is accessible. There is also RS-232 for operation from automation systems like Crestron or using custom software. An Ethernet port enables Web-browser operation with PJLink and other software as well as remote projection across a local network. - Single Chip DLP Technology
- Uses a combination of a chip covered in millions of micro-mirrors and a color wheel to produce an image. DLP features less spacing between pixels and better contrast than many comparable LCD-based systems
- 1.4 to 2.3:1 Throw Ratio
- Throw ratio is one of the most important specifications a projector lens has as it tells you the image size (width) you will get at a given distance from the screen. For example, at the 2:1 throw ratio setting and a 20' distance this projector will throw an 120"-wide image
- Stereoscopic 3D Support
- Project content from a variety of 3D sources, including Blu-ray Disc players. Supported 3D methods include:
- Frame Sequential: Up to 60 Hz in 720p
- Frame Packing: Up to 24 Hz in 1080p
- Side by Side: Up to 24 Hz in 1080p
- Top Bottom: Up to 60 Hz in 1080p
- Smart Eco Mode with Eco Blank
- When activated, this feature dims the lamp power automatically, lowering the total power and helping increase lamp life. Additionally, Eco Blank allows you to blackout the screen when not showing an image. All you need to do is press the "Eco Blank Mode" button on the keypad or the "Blank" button on the remote control. Eco Blank will kick-in automatically in cases where no signal is detected
- Horizontal and Vertical 2D Keystone Correction
- Keystone correction digitally corrects for skewing or distortion known as the "keystone effect" caused by the projector being off-center relative to the screen. This projector features ±30 degrees of horizontal and vertical correction
- Corner Fit Correction
- Gives you more precision of control compared to normal keystone correction, allowing you to adjust each corner of the image independently for perfect alignment with the screen
- LAN Display
- Not only can you remotely manage the projector over network, you can also give presentations. This means you can project from any computer on the same network as the projector - a direct VGA or HDMI connection to the projector is not required
Note: This feature is ideal for presentations based on still-image graphics. Video playback may be impeded due to network bandwidth limitations - Ethernet and RS-232 Controllable
- An RS-232 port means the projector can be controlled from a computer running custom software or via automation systems such as Crestron. An Ethernet port allows it to be controlled across a local network using a Web browser or PJLink-compatible software. Centralized management helps reduce IT administration costs as A/V equipment for an entire organization can be managed from one location
- Teaching Template Design
- To make teaching easier, BenQ has added a teaching template function. There are three different line pattern designs to choose from - Letter Formation, Worksheet and Coordinate Chart. With these, you can easily write or draw on whiteboards as well as blackboards without the need of drawing lines or charts
